Description

Set the board up like traditional chess. The goal is to checkmate the opponents king.

The standard rules of chess apply, with the following changes:

• Any two pieces of the same colour (except the king) can be merged (joined).
• Merged pieces can move as either of their joined pieces.
• Merged pieces can split into their original pieces.
• If a merged piece is captured then both pieces are lost.
• If a merged piece containing a pawn makes it to the other end of the board, the merged piece is promoted to a queen.
• There can be up to three queens of the same colour on the board at any one time.

Note: The merging or splitting of a piece is considered a move, and pieces must always move according to their abilities.
